Tasting Notes
The 2020 Cuvee Acero Sauvignon Blanc entices with an array of aromatic notes. The nose unfolds in layers, showcasing citrus, guava, white nectarine, and apple blossom. The bouquet is then complemented by subtle hints of honeydew melon and tropical undertones. On the palate, a beautiful weight and silkiness make their presence felt, while the finish boasts invigorating grapefruit zest. The mid-palate offers a mellow blend of lime, fresh stone fruit, and Bartlett pear. This wine harmoniously balances complex fruity aromas with a smooth, enduring finish. Vineyard Notes
The 2020 Season started out with a normal bud break in late March for Sauvignon Blanc. We saw a mild Spring weather, with a good set beginning in late May. Summer was warm, but no extreme heat spells. August had an abundance of foggy days creating larger cluster sizes. We began our Sauvignon Blanc Harvest in late August for our Musqué Clone, finishing with our Old Vines Sauvignon Blanc in early September. Overall, this season presented more tropical and less grassy/greener Sauvignon Blanc flavors with ample acidity
